How do I care for my extensions?

FN Longlocks remi hair extensions are exceptional quality. They can be washed, brushed, and styled just like your natural hair. We suggest washing every other day. When shampooing, conditioning, or applying products always apply in a downward motion, with the flow of the hair. Apply conditioner from mid shaft to ends (ponytail and below) and avoid applying directly to the bonds as some conditioners can cause bond break down. Our bonds are long lasting and can be brushed from scalp to ends. Just like your natural hair, FN Longlocks extensions can be damaged by improper care. Always follow the advice of your salon professional.

Can I curl, flat iron, & color my extensions?

Of course! FN Longlocks hair is durable and can be styled & customized to perfection! You can use most heating tools to achieve your desired look. However, we advise that you avoid applying heat directly to the bond as this may cause damage. Because our hair is 100% pure human remi hair, you can continue to have your hair colored. We recommend seeing a professional stylist who has experience working with extensions and color.

Will my extensions hurt?

FN Longlocks extensions are light weight and comfortable; however, some people may experience a night of scalp tenderness.

How many strands of hair do I need for a full head?

For a full head installation, we suggest purchasing a 200 count of your base color and two or three 20 count accent colors. Using varying shades of a color will help give you a natural look and provide excellent color blending. The hair length and texture will determine how many extensions will be applied.

What is the difference between fusion extensions and I-tip extensions?

FN Longlocks gives you options with two bond types. Our fusion extensions are protein-based bonds that are applied using a heated extension iron. They are light weight and versatile for all hair types. They are easily removed with our bond remover. The I-tip extensions are also known as the micro link or bead method. These extensions are attached using micro-links or beads. The micro link will hold the hair in place and are easily removed with the pliers.
